I Was a Weak, Fat Kid…

Pudgy and out of shape, it used to be a struggle for me to even run a mile without stopping…

My hips were weak and stiff, my shoulders hung down like sad wilting flowers, my core looked like a bag of jello…

I knew it wasn’t supposed to be this way…

What was wrong with me?

I was supposed to be strong! I saw myself as a strong, capable guy!

My self image wouldn’t allow me to be physically weak and out of shape.

In high school I became obsessed with turning the somewhat physically weak kid I was, into the strong, capable guy I saw in myself…

I read all I could get my hands on about strength and athleticism, diet and high performance…

The more I learned, the more my thirst grew for knowledge…

I started learning about my body, how it worked, sought ways to rehabilitate my weaknesses…

I discovered chiropractic, and began going to the chiropractor for regular adjustments. At that point I began making huge strides in function, athleticism, and all around well being. I started turning into the strong, capable guy I saw in myself years back. The incredible benefit I felt from chiropractic led me to change the direction of my life and pursue chiropractic as a career…

At chiropractic college I learned even more incredible knowledge about the human body, how it works, how to care for it, and the ultimate ways to “hack” the human body to boost function and performance (which DOESN’T  include putting oil in your coffee – ridiculous IMO).

I learned a library’s worth of information about strength, pain, movement, rehab, functional neurology, nutrition, and am still learning more every day…

Now in my fourth year in practice I help people overcome all the issues I’ve already encountered and conquered on the rough road to becoming the healthier and stronger guy I saw in myself 17 years ago…

Our body is the most amazing high performance machine we could ever hope to own and it’s time we learned how to treat it like one.
